About Recreating the Past...

Recreating the Past is a web resource for students in Archaeology/Anthropology 100 at Cornell University. With the Flash-based Map Tool one can view the geography and maps of the Ulúa Valley and "map" data from its many archaeological sites. With Site Explorer one can explore site-related images and data.
These tools are intended to be used in conjuction with a series of exercises through which students can better understand the analytic process which turns data about material remains into established archeological findings and conclusions. (More about this project...)
